Wide Awake in the Bugs: stellar-looking new route

Jon Walsh is one of Canada’s leading alpine climbers. In our current issue (Aug/Sept,) he features the Bugaboos in a a photo essay. This summer he headed to the seldom-visited Pigeon Feathers and found a choice route on Wide Awake Tower.

Walsh and Michelle Katadtz added Electric Funeral, a 300-metre 5.11+ to the routes accessible from East Creek. Paul Bride (who is also featured in our recent issue) was there to photograph the climb.

Walsh wrote about the new route in his recent blog post here: Alpine Style, check it out for the full story.
