Continuing with our coverage of the upcoming IFSC World Cup in Hamilton on June 1, today we look at the American powerhouse Alex Puccio.

Born in Texas, Puccio started climbing in 2002 at the age of 13. Four years later Puccio won the U.S. Bouldering Championships and proceeded to dominate the series by winning the event in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.  She has also competed and podiumed at numerous World Cup events.

Being only 5′ 2″ tall, Puccio has developed a powerful climbing style that has helped her send numerous boulder problems in the V12 range.

Puccio is a dynamic competitor and is sure to be a top contender for the podium at this event.
