Adam Ondra and Change

The new movie about Adam Ondra and how he changed the sport of climbing.

Adam Ondra was born on Feb. 5, 1993 in Brno in the Czech republic into a family of climbers. Thanks to his parents he was introduced rocks at a very young age.

By the age of six, he is climbing full time. His talent in climbing is soon obvious and thanks to support from his parents it is developed over the years. At the age of 13, Ondra ranks among the best climbers in the world by doing a 5.14d. Everyone knew it was only the beginning.

In the juniors competition scene, Ondra did not lose from the age of 11 to 16. In 2009, he could compete against adults, but placed second. Later that year, he won in the lead World Cup. In 2010, he won the bouldering World Cup. Despite studying, he was, at the age of 17, one of  the most traveled climbers his age.

On October 2, 2012, Ondra became the first person to 5.15c, by finishing Change in Norway, which represents the next step in the evolution of climbing.
