Watch Joe Skopec Send Funky 5.13 in Ontario

Watch Joe Skopec send Pilgrim, a classic 5.13b originally done by Zach Treanor at Cape Croker in Ontario.

As videographer Tyler Palubiski noted, “The crux is a boulder problem involving a very bad side pull.”

Cape Croker has a number of nice routes, which attract climbers every weekend. They area was temporarily closed for a year recently, but thanks to the Ontario Access Coalition, it’s open once again.

On the park website, it notes, “The Park officially opened in July of 1967, a credit to the Chippewas of Nawash Band who recognized the potential and intrinsic value of such an area to the Band members of present and future generations.”

The crag is about three-and-a-half hours from Toronto and offers, for more on directions see here.

A lot of great sending happened yesterday! Psyched to be back!!!! @josephskopec on the send of Pilgrim
