Alex Megos Continues Sending in Japan

Alex Megos is at the start of a three month climbing trip and his stop over in Japan has been full of big sends on boulders and at the crag.

Megos reported on Facebook that he made the third ascent of Flat Nountain 5.14d/5.15a in Futagoyama and it only took him seven tries over two days.

Futagoyama is about three hours north of Tokyo. Hirayama bolted the 33-mere route in 1989

Megos wrote, “Great route and definitely a milestone in climbing. Felt hard to me and considering the time it was first climbed by Yuji Hirayama in 2003 it must have been one of the hardest routes at that time. I did only the third ascent after 12 years. It was repeated by Toru Nakajima about two years ago.”
