New Big Alaska Route by Graham Zimmerman and Chris Wright

Graham Zimmerman and Chris Wright have climbed Celeno Peak, a 4,000-metre mountain in Alaska’s St. Elias Range, for its second ascent. Their new route is called the West Face Direct and goes at M6 5.10X A2+ for 2,000 metres.

The strong American climbers’ pilot into the area, Jay Claus, made the first ascent of Celeno in 2012. Carlos Buhler had attempted it in 1990. Visit Wright’s Instagram page below for more of the story.
