Prusik Peak West Ridge

Prusik Peak is a solid granite mountain in the Enchantments, south of Leavenworth, Washington.

The Enchantments are a peaceful setting and said to be one of the most majestic parts of the Cascades in the Stuart Range. The area embraces an alpine desert-like feel with a number of small lakes.

The majority of the climbs on Prusik Peak are on the south face and west ridge. The south face offers a number of 5.9 multi-pitch routes and the west ridge is a low fifth class route with a few 5.6-5.7 sections.

The Stuart Range was carved by ancient glaciers, but is now glacier free.

Prusik Peak are a sensitive area. Fires have ruined the Icicle Creek landscape, and concern for the overuse of the lakes has resulted in a limited access policy.

Respect the rules. Stay on trails, stay off of vegetation, pack it in-pack it out.
