Watch Ascent of Mount Edith Cavell’s Alpine North Face

Janelle and Mark Smiley climbed the north face of Mount Edith Cavell in Jasper National Park in October 2015. “This was Classic Climb number 47 for us,” Smiley said referring to their goal of climbing all 50 routes in the book 50 Classic Climbs of North America. “It was a full-on alpine adventure with lots of snow on the face.” The original route on the wall also made the list in The Bold and Cold.
