Watch the 2015 Point Break Trailer

In 1991, the film Point Break, starring Patrick Swayze, Keanu Reeves and Gary Busey inspired a generation of outdoor enthusiasts to find their own adventure.

It was one of the most quotable movies ever, with lines like, “Fear causes hesitation, and hesitation will cause your worst fears to come true.” And, “If you want the ultimate, you’ve got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It’s not tragic to die doing what you love.” And, “Back off Warchild, seriously.”

With characters such as FBI agent Johnny Utah and Bodhi, the guru of a gang of bank-robbing surfers, we were taken on a roller-coaster ride of extreme sports set around a series of bank robberies.

Now, a remake of Point Break hopes to capture a new young audience while drawing the crowd that loved the original.

A number of climbers helped with the filming including Chris Sharm and Dani Andrada who acted as stunt doubles. There was a large group of Mexican and Venezuelan climbers as well, including Daniella Dearden, Kevin Oronoz Senior, Henry Gonzalez, Alfredo Yupi Rangel, Daniel Fernandes, Oliver Sevcik, Nomada En Bici, Jimena Alarcon, Igor Martinez, Emiliano Villanueva and Emiliano Fernandez Hurtado.

The 2015 remake is about a young FBI agent who infiltrates an extraordinary team of extreme sports athletes he suspects of masterminding a string of unprecedented, sophisticated corporate heists. The film will hit theatres on Dec. 25, 2015. More here.
