Arco World Cup Rock Masters 2017 Results

The Arco Rock Masters 2017 took place on Aug. 25 and 26 with IFSC Lead and Speed World Cups being held. The conditions were poor with hot temperatures sending many climbers off because of sweaty hands.

Adam Ondra had a no-hands rest and after slipped from an undercling. Alex Megos fell low on the Finals route and Jakob Schubert was timed-out before reaching the top.

The route setters were taking the heat because more than one climber was timed out, including Jain Kim who looked strong enough to finish. In both Semis and Finals, most climbers fell within a few moves of the finish.

For the Canadians, Elan Jonas-McRae was the only to make Semis and finished in 12th. And Lucas Uchida in 34, Pia Graham in 58, Dana Monteith in 63, Chloe Earle in 65, Alex Fricker in 65, Kyle Murdoch in 70 and Aidan Doyle in 75.
