So far, the two strong siblings have competed in Youth B Boulder. In Qualifications, Guy finished in 23rd and Kindar advanced to Semis in top-20.

In Semis, Kindar climbed his way to 17th, and while he won’t be heading to Finals, he is one of only a few Canadians to advance to Semis at the competition.

Kindar and Guy will both be competing in other Youth B events later this week. For more results and photos visit here.

Congratulations to all Canadians on their efforts so far this week, and to the coaches, parents, support staff and sponsors who help make it happen.

The IFSC Youth World Championships takes place every year and gather hundreds of the most elite sport climbing athletes between the ages of 14 and 19.

This year, there are 1,172 athlete registrations across all categories – representing 50 countries and five continents – and climbing will take place for 12 days on the brand-new walls of Kletterzentrum Innsbruck.
