Canadian Oscar Baudrand Podiums at USA Youth Nationals

The USA Youth Nationals was this past weekend and a number of Canadians showed up in fine form.

Canadians Oscar Baudrand and Indiana Chapman advanced to Finals after a strong Semis, Baudrand in first place.

When the dust settled at the high-energy event, Baudrand stood on the Male Youth C podium in third place.

Chapman just missed the top-three with a fifth-place finish in Female Youth B. A strong event for everyone from north of the border.

Victor Baudrand finished in 31 in Qualifications in Male Youth B, Riley Galloway in 45th in Female Youth B, Cole MacLeod in eighth after Qualifications (no listed score for Semis) in Male Youth D and Evangelina Briggs in 17th in Female Youth C.

?? #BYNC are complete ✔️!! After a tough qualifier and semifinals round, I was beyond psyched to make finals and place 5th! This was one of the first competitions where time played a huge part in my results… I timed out on the last problem in finals – with one hand on the last hold! If I had topped it I would’ve podiumed – but that’s competition climbing for ya! It was so fun seeing so many familiar faces and I love the environment at these comps! Always a pleasure competing with such strong girls! • A huge thank you to my sponsors for helping me get to these competitions – Game Hive, and Muskoka Woods! • Now it’s time to rest for Canadian Nationals next weekend! • #usacnationals #usacbouldering #gamehive #muskokawoods #muskokawoodsathleteambassador #nationals2018 #finals #bouldering #usa #teamcanada??
