Canadians Crush at Great Lakes Mixed Comp

The Great Lakes Mixed Comp took place this weekend with more than $5,000 dollars in prized. The first-time event took place at the Peabody Ice Climbing Club and is organized by Ontario climbers Nathan Kutcher and Rebecca Lewis.

They tried to hold the competition in Ontario, but space was an issue. Peabody Ice Climbing is in Michigan and run by Garrett Peabody and has a 20-metre ice wall. For more on the event see here.

Kutcher commented after the event, I think it’s safe to say that the Great Lakes Mixed Competition was a big success. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated! We couldn’t have done it without you.”

“Congratulations to Peter Hoang and Kendra Stritch who went home with first place trophies… Congratulations to Stas Beskin and Angela Limbach who both placed second in the main competition… They both won airfare to a 2017 Ice Climbing World Cup of their choice.” For more results visit Facebook here.
