Sean McColl to be at Quebec IFSC Press Conference This Weekend

On March 11, the IFSC Annual Plenary Assembly will be taking place in Quebec. The president of the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC), Mr. Marco Maria Scolaris, and its distinguished guest, Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC), will be hosting a Press Conference at Delta Hotel Quebec in Quebec City.

The Press Conference will address the following topics, among others: The Olympic format and other information related to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires 2018; Renewal of the IFSC Executive Board and PanAmerican Council Board.

The future of the sport in Canada will also be discussed, including the vote for IFSC Youth World Championships 2018 in Central Saanich, and the PanAmerican Youth Championships 2017 in Montreal.

Also attending will be Mr. Kobinata Toru, IFSC Asian Council vice-president (JPN), Ms. Maria Izquierdo, IFSC PanAmerican Council president (CAN) and CEC president, and Mr. Sean McColl, president ofthe IFSC Athletes’ Commission and IFSC Climbing World Cup 2016 season champion in the Combined.

Mr. Scolaris and guests will be pleased to discuss the Olympics and more with you, “We are very excited for this next adventure. Together, we have created new opportunities for our sport, and now we continue to prepare for the next steps, in Quebec and beyond.”
