The Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival (VIMFF) takes place from Feb. 19 to 28

The event will also be hosting online workshops with top experts in their field.
The climber’s show will be featuring the world premiere of Crux and the North American premiere of Katherine’s Marathon, this show takes you on an incredible adventure to Siurana in Spain, the Taihang Mountains of China, the Bernese Alps and Squamish. It captures heartfelt stories about struggling with mental health, exploring new routes and achieving goals that were once only a dream.
The snowsports show features six adventure-packed films, including the Canadian premiere, Made in the Mitten and the North American premiere, Exploring the Known. These films share moving stories about overcoming life-changing injuries, paying tribute to a Chamonix legend, learning about the heritage of modern-day snowboarding and exploring local mountains during a pandemic.
The Indigenous identiy in the outdoors show is a fundraiser for Indigenous Women Outdoors. It shares Indigenous perspectives while exploring how their identities are inseparable from the land they live on and how it has shaped their identities. This show features four powerful films and a live panel discussion: Indigenous Identity in the Outdoors.
The Canadian show features seven scenic and wild films that take us virtually to remote rivers and mountains. Through these adventures, we travel on foot and with the support of canoes, bikes, skis, snowboards, monoskis and aerial silks. These stories discover new-found adventures & share memorable journeys to iconic places. More here.
