First Look: Updated Edelrid Jay and Jayne Harnesses

In 1953, with the invention of the kernmantel rope, Edelrid revolutionized mountaineering and they’ve been one of the world’s best rope manufacturers ever since.

In 2019, Edelrid is introducing the first dynamic single rope for gym climbing with a polyester shell. They are also releasing the Giga Jul, a versatile belay device.

And they’re updating the much-loved Jay and Jayne harnesses, which will be made entirely from bluesign® certified materials.

The originals are plush, comfortable, affordable and very durable and the updates in 2019 add a few great features.

Jay Harness
