Fjallraven Keb Trousers are Built for Adventure

These tough all-round pants are good for any outdoor activity, from long hikes to cross country skiing

Swedish outdoor brand Fjallraven has been an innovative clothing brand for the general outdoor market since 1966, and now their products are getting a reputation for fit, function and looks among core outdoors adventurers in North America. The Keb trouser is an example of their commitment to developing tough, highly featured pieces.

The Keb’s hip and back of leg material is stretch recycled polyester and elastane so, despite being highly abrasion resistant and reinforced with a reinforced seat and gusseted knees and calves, they’ll move with you when climbing or hiking. The patches, pockets and high-wear calf sections are made of tough G-1000 Eco Poly-cotton treated with a water-resistant coating. An unusual feature is the option to restore the G-1000 components’ water resistance with Fjallraven’s Greenland wax coating. Simply rub the appropriate area with the wax bar and iron in at a low heat.

Slash pockets and flapped thigh pockets with snap closures offer room for lots of small items. Zippered ventilation slits on the thighs and calves will keep your legs cool. The leg cuffs cinch around your ankles or boot cuffs and snap closed with a removable strap. A lace hook at the front means they’ll double up as gaiters. Belt loops and suspender attachments help you keep them in place no matter what base layers you’re wearing.

Recommended for hiking, climbing, cross-country skiing and canoe tripping. Available in men’s and women’s sizes. (MSRP $275)
