Three Instagram Pages for Rappel and Anchor Tips

There are a number of mountain guides and schools who give weekly free advice on how to rappel or rig a trad/sport anchor. Below are five accounts that you should follow if you’re looking to improve those technical gear skills.

Sean Isaac is a Rockies-based alpine guide with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides who got his start as one of Canada’s most cutting-edge mixed and remote big wall climbers. He now runs courses in the Bow Valley, where he’s based. He shares tips and tricks on rock anchors, ice belaying and more.

Dale Remsberg was one of the first climbers, certified as an IFMGA mountain guide, to use Instagram as a platform to give free climbing tips.

Alpine Savvy is an online resource that aims to improve a climber’s skills for alpine climbing, from navigation across glaciers to river crossings to multi-directional anchors.
