Justin Barbour and his dog Saku will leave this week for their 1,700-kilomtre trip through a remote corner of Canada.

The Newfoundlander said, “We are leaving for the North West River, Labrador, to begin an approximately 1,700-kilometre expedition across the Labrador Peninsula by foot and canoe, towards the shores of Hudson Bay.

“It’s going to be wild! I will share more in the coming weeks.”

Barbour, 30, was meant to leave earlier this year but delayed his long journey, which means he’ll finish in November.

In 2017, he did a 700-kilometre crossing Newfoundland over 68 days.

He’ll be using a Garmin InReach which you can follow on his Facebook page here.
