Epic Avalanche Conditions in Canada’s Mountains!

The avalanche danger in parts of western Canada will be extreme on Friday, which means you should just stay away from any avalanche prone areas.

Avalanche.ca posted that three problems are: storm slabs, deep persistent slabs and dry loose snow. Basically everywhere west of Calgary will have sketchy snow conditions for the next few days, so head to the resort or try pond skating.

In Jasper, the conditions are extreme in the alpine, at treeline and below treeline.
