Five Amazing Paul Zizka Outdoor Photos

Paul Zizka is one of Canada’s leading outdoor photographers who focuses on night images and time-lapse shots of mountain scenes.

Based in Banff, he spends most of his time travelling to remote areas to capture moments. Here are five amazing images from Zizka.

I'm excited to finally have a dedicated space for my work here in Banff: starting next month the @rimrockresort will display 17 of my favourite Canadian Rockies winter images. Looking back on 2018 – July/August. Summer in the Canadian Rockies is sacred for me. There's just nowhere else I'd rather be. We had a lengthy fire season in the Rockies again this year, but made the most of it. Here are a few special moments from this past summer, before the smoke moved in… On the menu: snow caves, northern lights, family time, mountaineering, aerial photography, backcountry explorations and of course plenty of nights under the stars. Extraordinary Maui! I believe I just topped my "sunset of the year" here in Hawaii. Absolutely dazzling. I don't think I'd ever seen such an array of colours in the sky all at once. And it went on for a such a long time. This was actually taken well after actual sunset when nearly everyone had left. Then the stars came out in full force and it was magic – photos to come! "Deadvlei Dancers" It still feels like a dream… Spending a night under the stars with these ancient trees was a spiritual experience. I'll never forget the silence, the majesty, the surreal beauty.
