James Forrest Climbs 273 Irish Mountains for Record

James Forrest has climbed all 273 mountains in Ireland in just 56 days, completing his goal on Oct. 3.
Last year, he spend six months in Wales and England and climbed all 446 mountains, setting the record for climbing all of the peaks.
In completing all of the Irish mountains, Forrest also ticked the Vandeleur Lynams list, which was first produced in 1952 by Joss Lynam published it in a reprint of Mountaineering in Ireland by Claude Wall printed in 1976. Find the list here.
Forrest quit a job a few years ago and dedicated his life to climbing year-round. He’s the first to complete the Vandeleur Lynams in one push.
Forrest wrote about about his climbs in England and Waled called Mountain Man, which will be available next year.
