Paul Bonhomme and Vivian Bruchez have skied the big northeast face of the Aiguille Verte in Chamonix.
The big wall of snow and ice, also called Nant Blanc, was first skied back in 1989 by Jean-Marc Boivin.
The descent is a 1,100-metre run that follows glaciers down the face at about 55° and includes three rappels.
It was then snowboarded in the late 1990s by Marco Siffredi for the second descent.
Bonhomme and Bruchez climbed the ultra-classic Charlet/Platanov route up the north face.
This descent was part of Bonhomme’s ambitions project to ski four faces on the Aiguille Verte in a day. Conditions prevented the full project from being accomplished.
