16-Year-Old Wins Gold at Innsbruck World Cup
Sorato Anraku takes his first-ever gold medal at the Innsbruck World Cup

The men’s finals at the Innsbruck Boulder World Cup took place today after two days of intense qualifiers and semi-finals. This was the final World Cup round of 2023, for full results visit here.
Team Japan took gold and silver with Sorato Anraku, 16, and Meichi Narasaki taking them respectively. This is Anraku’s first-ever World Cup gold. In third was Sam Avezou from France. At last week’s men’s final, Toby Roberts shocked the world by winning gold in the dying seconds of the competition. Roberts failed to make finals this week.
The women’s finals was stacked with big names and fan favourites, from Janja Garnbret and Miho Nonaka to Americans Brooke Raboutou and Natalia Grossman. In the end Janja Garnbret took gold with Grossman in second at the comp and first overall for the season.
