2025 USA National Team Announced
Here are the climbers that will represent the United States on the World Cup circuit this year
With the conclusion of the USA Climbing National Team Trials on Sunday in Austin, Texas, we now know the composition of the Boulder, Lead, and Speed USA National Teams for 2025. The Trials competition was the last chance for top climbers to gain points to earn their spot on the National Team, a group of athletes representing the USA in international events like World Cups and the World Championships. In the Lead portion of the Trials comp, Adriene Akiko Clark and Melina Costanza earned enough National Team ranking points to join the team in 2025. Clark won gold at the event and Costanza took bronze. The two join Natalia Grossman, Brooke Raboutou, and Annie Sanders on this year’s women’s Lead National Team.
In men’s Lead, Sergey Lakhno, Declan Osgood, and Cruz Padilla earned enough points to join the men’s National Lead Team, where they’ll be joining big names Colin Duffy and Jesse Grupper. Lakno earned gold at the Lead Trials, with Osgood taking silver.
In the Boulder portion of the Trials comp, Costanza and Clark once again earned enough points to join the National Team. Impressively, Costanza topped every boulder in the semi-finals and final, earning gold, with Clark earning silver. The women’s Lead and Boulder teams will be identical in 2025, consisting of Raboutou, Grossman, Sanders, Clark, and Costanza.
Compared to Lead, a different set of climbers qualified for the Boulder National Team in the men’s Boulder Trials comp. Vail Everett, Zander Waller, and Benjamin Hanna, all earned their spot, joining Duffy and Grupper on the Boulder Team. Hanna won gold at the event and Everett won bronze.
