Alannah Yip is 12th Overall Heading to Vail World Cup

There have been five bouldering world cups so far this year and no North American has finished in the top six, but Alannah Yip is heading to the Vail World Cup in 12th overall, the best of any Canadian or North American.

Sean McColl is in 32nd, far from the position he’d need to qualify for the Olympics, but there are a number of speed and lead comps left this season where he could improve his combined score. McColl has been the combined world champion three times in the past. Lucas Uchida is 48th overall.

2. Tomoa Narasaki JPN 260 / Fanny Gibert FRA 243
3. Anze Peharc SLO 193 / Akiyo Noguchi JPN 240
