Breakdown of Men’s Boulder Finals in Innsbruck

The men’s bouldering finals at the IFSC World Championships in Innsbruck was a great event and the problems were overall well set.

Starting order of the finalists was Nathan Phillips of Great Britain, Keita Watabe of Japan, Kai Harada of Japan Gregor Vezonik of Slovenia, Jongwon Chon of South Korea and Kokoro Fuji of Japan.

All boulders had at least one dynamic move followed by easier climbing to the top after the zone. It’s not known who decides how many dynamic moves, whether it’s the IFSC, setters or organizers.

Kai Harada climbed calm and in control especially on boulder four before winning gold.
