Following an exciting event last weekend in Prague, Czech Republic, the IFSC Boulder World Cup tour moves to Brixen, Italy this weekend from June 9 to 11. Qualifiers were held today, women’s semi-finals and finals will be held tomorrow, and men’s semi-finals and finals will be held on Sunday.

After a successful qualification round this morning, Canadian Madison Fischer is moving on to tomorrow’s women’s semi-final round. She topped topped four of the five qualification problems, with two of her tops being flashes. She placed 8th overall in the semi-finals at the Salt Lake City event a few weeks ago, just missing out on the opportunity to compete in the finals.

Fischer was the only Canadian to qualify for the semi-final round at this weekend’s comp in Brixen. Evangelina Briggs placed 31st and Alannah Yip came in 50th in the qualifiers. Guy McNamee placed 37th, Kindar McNamee 71st, and Sean McColl 75th.

Americans Natalia Grossman, Annie Sanders, Kyra Condie, Ellis Ernsberger, and Colin Duffy are moving through to the semi-finals. Their teammates Cloe Coscoy, Kylie Cullen, Zach Galla, Ross Fulkerson, Dillon Countryman, and Jesse Grupper did not make it past the qualification round. Brooke Raboutou and Sean Bailey did not compete.
