France Wins Two Golds at Euro Cup

The next big competition is the first bouldering World Cup of 2023

The European Cup took place this past weekend at Chambery, France, with French climbers Michael Mawem and Cohaut Flavy winning gold. Climbers from France took home four of the six medals at Chambery.

This was the first major comp before the World Cup circuit starts on April 21 in Hachioji, Japan. Mawem is one of 12 climbers registered to compete in Japan. Few other top World Cup climbers took place in the European Cup, a comp that had solid problems. For the full list of climbers registered to compete in Japan see here.

1. Michael Mawem (France) / Cohaut Flavy (France)
2. Leo Favot (France) / Martina Bursikova (Slovakia)
3. Jack Macdougall (U.K.) / Agatha Calliet (France)
