Indoor Climbing Expo 2023 Heads to Chattanooga, Don’t Miss It!

The climber's event will take place in December and will include clinics, a climbing comp and more

The Indoor Climbing Expo (ICE) is heading to the Chattanooga Convention Center in Tennessee from Dec. 13 to 16, 2023. Climbing expos give climbers, brands and other organisations an opportunity to meet, discuss ideas and learn about new products.

There are lots of activities planned during the Expo and lots of vendor booths to check out. There will be a board comp with climbers like Maya Madere, Paul Robinson, Allison Vest, Ravioli Biceps, Sierra Blair-Coyle and more. There will also be roundtable topic discussions each weekday morning, including talks on opening a gym, routesetting, gym-to-crag, insurance, sustainability and USA Climbing.

You can also check out some hands-on activities each weekday morning, including hold shaping, hold maintenance, and rope art creation. Plus there will be routesetting and training clinics at the local gyms. There’s also some great local rock climbing at Sunset Rock, Foster Falls and Stone Fort.

The event was founded by Travis Williams, who said that you can register now for the four-day event for $120, but the cost will go up to $150 on the day it starts. Find out more information on the website here, see the schedule here, and listen to Williams talk about the event in a podcast with Climbing Business Journal below.
