Janja Garnbret has taken gold at the combined world championships in Hachioji, Japan, this week. Garnbret, fresh off winning all six bouldering world cups this year, also won the bouldering and lead world championships last week on the run-up to the combined event.

Garnbret topped the lead route faster than Ai Mori, but Akiyo Noguchi would have taken first in lead because she climbed faster than Garnbret, but fell off the last hold. Shauna Coxsey finished in third.

Speed champion Aleksandra Miroslaw finished last in bouldering ad lead in combined but fourth overall because of her first place in speed. It’s been an exciting world championships with big wins and heartbreaks. The men’s final combined event can be watched here and watch highlights below.
