Joe Rockhead’s in Toronto Closing for Renos

Joe Rockhead’s Climbing Gym in Toronto was purchased this spring and will be closing from Dec. 8 until January for renovations.

Joe Rockhead’s Press Release

To the Rockhead’s community, Joe Rockhead’s has walls and members that have made us proud for over 28 years, but there are a few parts of the gym that don’t quite cut it in the modern climbing industry.

We’re excited to start Phase 1 of our long term renewal plans, which will center around replacing our flooring, improving the lighting, reconfiguring our front desk, repainting, and a few other surprises. This work will span the entire gym: from the front desk to the lead walls, and from the mats to the ceiling.

Quick Update: Gym Closure Dec 8th Hey guys – I’m glad you’re all excited to see the new Joe Rockhead’s, and as you can tell, we’re working really hard to prepare for the renovations. Now that we’ve gotten started, we realized that our original timeline was a bit optimistic. Instead of closing on December 17, we’re now going to close on December 8, giving us more time to get everything done before January. To make up for this change, EFT members won’t be charged for December. And all of our active members will be able to climb or free at Up The Bloc. We hate to be closing, but the extra time will help us make an even better Joe Rockhead’s. Thanks for your support! . . #joerockheads #toronto #climbinggym #renovations

To accommodate all of this work, we’ll need to close temporarily. We understand this will affect our members and the climbing community in general, so details of these closures and how they affect our customers are listed below.

Rockhead’s will be completely closed to the public from Monday, Dec. 8 and will reopen on Tues. Jan. 1. From Dec. 8 to Dec. 31, all Joe Rockhead’s memberships will be valid at Up The Bloc. Couldn’t be more excited to share a rejuvenated Joe Rockhead’s with our community. Until then, please forward any questions or concerns to climb@joerockheads.com.
