Happy with my climbing at the World Cup in Briancon this weekend. Felt like I fought hard on both climbs and was able to apply what I learned from the previous few events. The Briançon Lead World Cup didn’t go as well as I wanted it to. At the end of the day I wasn’t prepared enough (physically or mentally) for this discipline. Now I’m feeling pretty ready to go home for ~5 weeks of training for the Innsbruck World Championships! ?: @sheila_mcc

Super happy my injured shoulder feels good enough to compete on, now it’s just a matter of training ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s clear that I get pumped a bit too fast ?, I couldn’t afford to make any mistakes and that was not the case. Stoked for Arco next week ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Big congrats to @alexandermegos on his first World Cup victory! Congrats to @janja_garnbret for winning with an excellent top in finals knowing that any less wouldn’t be enough!

After a week of thinking, testing, and recovery I have come to the decision that I will not participate in the LWC in Briançon. It was a really tough decision, and I was really looking forward to competing, but after talking to the team officials here and weighing the benefits and risks I found that the risk of competing outweighed the benefits. With World Championships right around the corner, I am going to now focus on recovery and getting in shape to compete my best for then. ?
