Happy with my climbing at the World Cup in Briancon this weekend. Felt like I fought hard on both climbs and was able to apply what I learned from the previous few events. Thanks to everyone who has been cheering me on and to all of the Canadian team for being so fun to be around!!! The Briançon Lead World Cup didn’t go as well as I wanted it to. At the end of the day I wasn’t prepared enough (physically or mentally) for this discipline. Now I’m feeling pretty ready to go home for ~5 weeks of training for the Innsbruck World Championships! 📸: @sheila_mcc

Super happy my injured shoulder feels good enough to compete on, now it’s just a matter of training ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s clear that I get pumped a bit too fast 😅, I couldn’t afford to make any mistakes and that was not the case. Stoked for Arco next week ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Big congrats to @alexandermegos on his first World Cup victory! Congrats to @janja_garnbret for winning with an excellent top in finals knowing that any less wouldn’t be enough!

After a week of thinking, testing, and recovery I have come to the decision that I will not participate in the LWC in Briançon. It was a really tough decision, and I was really looking forward to competing, but after talking to the team officials here and weighing the benefits and risks I found that the risk of competing outweighed the benefits.
