Sean McColl, who will be representing Canada at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, will be the only Canadian at the Adidas Rockstars 2019. Some of the world’s best climbers will be at the event, including champion Janja Garnbret. The winners of 2018 were Miho Nonako and Jernej Kruder and in 2017 it was Sergii Topishko and Stasa Gejo.
The popular invitational for the international climbing elite takes place for the ninth consecutive time. Around 4,000 spectators will be there for the comp between world and European champions, World Cup winners, national champions and potentially some future Olympic gold medalists. The comp will take place at the Stuttgart’s Porsche-Arena on Sept. 13 and 14. Watch below.
