Action Directe 5.14d Climbed Again in Autumn 2018

Stefan Scarperi has sent Action Directe 5.14d for the second ascent of the famous route a few days after Said Belhaj ticked it.

The first and famous ascent was in 1991 by Wolfgang Gullich, who graded it 5.14c/d but is now considered the first 9a or 5.14d ever climbed and a benchmark route.

On Instagram, Scarperi said, “Last week the conditions where really bad and I did only a few tries on this stunning line, but today finally everything was fine. Last days I fell two times on the last move. Today I fell again on the last move but than on my third attempt I changed my mind and just did it. Finally Action Directe is done.”
