Adam Ondra Climbs Two New V15s in a Day

Ondra has been training for a big comp at the end of the month

Adam Ondra has made the first ascents of two V15s and a V14 at Moravian Karst in the Czech Republic. Ondra is preparing to compete at the Toulouse competition next week, his next chance to qualify for the Olympics.

His new routes are Nunavut V15, Pucmeloun V15 and Instensitos V14. “One of the best days bouldering for sure,” said Ondra. “Both V15s are projects that I have had in my mind for a some time, I had tried them quite a bit in the past. I knew they were possible, I just needed to wait for the perfect day.

“And the day was yesterday. High psyche after a stint of indoor climbing and perfect late autumn conditions. Both went down first try this time after rechecking the moves.” Toulouse takes place at the end of the month. Alannah Yip is the only Canadian competing, for the starting order see here.
