Adam Ondra Tries Possible V18 Boulder
V17 climber Camille Coudert has put in over 100 sessions on Imotep Assis - a problem that could possibly be V18

Adam Ondra was recently climbing in Fontainebleau, where he tried one of the world’s hardest boulder projects with Imothep Assis. During his trip, he also flashed Ligne de bête V14, Ubik Assis V13, and Imothep du Sol V13/14.
Camille Coudert, who in 2022 repeated Soudain seul V17, has been projecting Imothep de Sol for several years. The breakdown is two moves of V14/15, four moves of V13, two moves of V13/14 and eight moves of V11. Doudert said, “I think it is a hard 8C+ (V15) if you start from the second move and possibly 9A+ (V18) from the sit start.”
Ondra released a video, which you can watch below, that features the above problems – the V18 project starts at 13:35. He said, “This cool video gives a proper insight into Fontainebleu’s diversity of boulder problems, nature and characters climbing at this unique place. Featuring the project of Fontainebleau called Imothep Assiss, true ‘bleausards’ Camille Coudert and Charles Albert, non-bleausard but true climber Lucien Martinez, and climbing fanatic Pierre Delas.”
Earlier this year, Ondra made the fourth ascent of Simon Lorenzi’s Soudain Seul V17 in Fontainebleau – read about it here.
