Allison Vest Ticks Another V13 with Army of the Dead

This is the Canadian champion's fifth V13 to date, third in the last few months

Allison Vest has climbed three V13s in the past few months, with her latest being Army of the Dead in Joe’s Valley. A few days after her repeat of Army of the Dead, Vest made quick work of Breaking Dawn V10. This summer, Vest sent her first 5.14 with Thrown’ the Houlihan.

“Yay! Stoked to put this one together,” Vest wrote on her up-to-date 8a.nu card. “I really liked the moves on Ghost of War so I was psyched to start trying the link up. A little harder maybe if you have to add moves to get into the stand instead of doing the big span. Such cool moves.”

In October, Vest climbed Blackout V13 and Masterpiece V13 in Joe’s Valley. In 2020, she climbed Firestorm V13 in Ogden and in 2019 she climbed her first V13 with Terminator in Squamish.

In a talk with Vest during the early stages of the pandemic, she said, “I’m really excited about my progression thus far in my climbing career and, something that is even more exciting for me, is I still feel like I have a long way to go and that I am improving all the time both in terms of mental and physical abilities.”
