American climbers Matt Cornell and Jackson Marvell have made the first ascent of Techno Terror AI6 M7+ A0 1,100 m

The Revelation Mountains get another major new route in 2022 with the first ascent of a 1.1-kilometre-tall alpine climb up an aesthetic granite wall.

This month, Matt Cornell and Jackson Marvell found a steep and technical line up the west face of Pyramid Peak they’ve called Techno Terror AI6 M7+ A0 1,100 m. Earlier this season, Clint Helander and Andres Marin climbed a new route in the Revelation Mountains called The Shaft of the Abyss VI AI5R M5 90-degree snow A0 which you can read about here.

In winter 2021, Marvell and Josh Wharton made the first ascent of a new bold alpine climb in Nevada, which you can read about here, and in 2019 he made a first ascent with Alan Rousseau of Ruth Gorge Grinder AI6+ M7 1,500 m on Mount Dickey, which you can read about here. Watch films on Cornell soloing one of the most difficult routes in Hyalite Canyon, and Marvell climbing steep routes in Utah in the videos below.
