Angelika Rainer Sends French Connection D15 in Italy

South Tyrol climber Angelika Rainer sent French Connection D15- at Tomorrow’s World in the Dolomites a few weeks ago. With no ice from start to finish, the 40-metre route is considered one of the most difficult dry-tool routes in Europe. It was first climbed in 2016 by Brit Tom Ballard.

Rainer finished her World Cup season with a silver medal shortly before heading to the steep cave in Italy for her big send. She also bagged Oblivion D14 on the same trip. Rainer has a number of hard sends to her name, including Clash of the Titans at Helmcken Falls in B.C. and The Mustang M14 in Colorado.
