A team of motivated Canadian climbers are hoping to hand-deliver a hard-cover copy of Mountaineering: Freedom of the Hills to every hut owned by the Alpine Club of Canada. Mountaineering: Freedom of the Hills is in its 50th year of publication and is widely seen as the classic climbing-reference manual. The group plans to complete this project between July 1, 2011 – August 31, 2012. More details here
