Ashima Shiraishi Second Ascent of American V14

American climber Ashima Shiraishi climbs hard routes in New York’s Harriman State Park.

Shiraishi climbed three hard routes in an area called The Master Bedroom in one day. She made the second ascent of Nuclear War V14, which was the first ascent of the hard problem in nine years since Matt Bosley, and it was the first female ascent.

She also sent Reckless V11 and Wetness the Fatness V12. It is an impressive day for any climber, especially for someone who hasn’t climbed on stone in a while.

The Master Bedroom was featured in Dosage V and the Bigup Productions crew filmed Shiraishi on her recent sends, which will be available soon.

Bosley’s Nuclear War was a new start to a V11 boulder problem, it added six moves to War Cry V11.
