Aug 22, 2011 – Second Female Redpoint of 5.14d

The 21-year old French climber Charlotte Durif has just redpointed Les 3P 9a (5.14d) in the Verdon Gorge. The incredibly steep roof climb involves sustained climbing and includes two technical cruxes and a powerful bouldering section. Originally bolted by Bruno Clement, Les 3P was first redpointed by Adam Ondra.  Durif joins Spain’s Josune Bereziartu as the second woman to climb 5.14d. See here for more details and photos.
