August 24, 2010 – Bouldering World Cup Comes to Canmore

The IFSC has announced that Canmore will host a World Cup Bouldering comp in 2011. The Canmore event will take place on May 27 and 28 and kick-off the North American World Cup series, which includes a World Cup Bouldering competition in Vail on June 3 and 4 and a World Cup lead climbing competition in Boulder on October 8 and 9.

Canada’s vibrant competitive climbing scene has created world-class athletes like Sean McColl who has successfully podiumed at numerous World Cup events in Europe.
