Ben Harnden Sends Cobra Crack 5.14

Ben Harnden is the only climber to have sent Cobra Crack 5.14 and Dreamcatcher 5.14d in Squamish, arguably two of Canada’s most iconic single-pitch routes. Harnden began the year with the second ascent of Family Man 5.14 in Skaha and has been one of the West Coast’s top climbers for a decade.

Some of Harnden’s other hard sends include the first ascent of The Locknarr 5.13dR/X, Journey Through Nicaragua 5.13c on gear, The Drowning Grip V12, Silent Menace (Smell the Glove) 5.14c, The Bull 5.14R/X (second ascent) and the first free ascent of The Gunslinger (watch below).

Cobra Crack was first sent by Sonnie Trotter a decade ago and has been repeated by a number of climbers, including Nico Favresse, Ethan Pringle, Matt Segal, Will Stanhope, Yuji Hirayama, Tom Randall and Pete Whittaker.
