Catching up with Adam Ondra: World Cups and Dawn Wall

Adam Ondra is a true giant of the climbing world. The Czech climber is the reigning World Champion in both Lead and Bouldering, an unprecedented achievement. On the rocks, Ondra’s tick list of first ascents and repeats are unmatched, both in quality and quantity. At 22 years old, Ondra is already a legend, but he is far from finished.

Ondra was in Toronto over the weekend for the IFSC Bouldering World Cup, where he finished 3rd. We caught up with him on competing and plans for the future.

On the burly Men’s problem four, the final problem of the night, Ondra knew he needed a flash to have a shot at the win. You can’t say he didn’t try hard.
