Chris Snobeck Makes Third Ascent of Saphira M15

American climber Chris Snobeck sent Saphira M15- for the route’s third ascent after 35 minutes of climbing. The steep mixed route in Vail is considered one of the most difficult single-pitch mixed routes in America. Snobeck sent the route twice.

Incredibly happy to have sent "Saphira" (M15-) today!!! Very cool that this monster finishes on the same ice curtain (very thin ice getting to it today) as Jeff Lowe's "Octopussy."? A wild route that I've really enjoyed figuring out! It was bolted by Stanislav Vrba and sent by Czech Lucie Hrozova last winter. A few months after Hrozova sent the line, Ryan Vachon made the second ascent. A few weeks after Hrozova made the first ascent, Tom Ballard sent Line Across the Sky in Italy at D15.
