Climber Rescued at Red Rocks

A climber took a lead fall and had to be carried out on a stretcher

There’s little information but a woman from Canada was injured and required a rescue while climbing in Red Rocks. They were reportedly climbing Crimson Chrysalis.

Red Rocks is a busy place this time of year although the conditions have been cooler than normal with overcast days. Crimson Chrysalis is a nine-pitch 5.8+ with several run out sections where a fall could result in injury.

While no names or details are given, a nearby climber posted about the rescue as it was going on. See below. We’ll update the story as more information becomes available.
