Climbers Still Missing on Nanga Parbat, Donate to Help
Daniele Nardi and Tom Ballard have been missing since Feb. 24 on Nanga Parbat where they were attempting the Mummery Ridge. A rescue operation is taking place.
There’s currently a fundraiser where you can donate. It reads, “We are so grateful for everyone who has led these rescue efforts on the ground. The helicopter rescue operation costs roughly €50,000 ($75,000 CDN) per day. Donations to help support these costs are graciously appreciated.
?Any unused donations will be donated to the schools of Pakistan where Daniele has regularly donated school materials and medicine on this and past expeditions.” Visit here to donate.
A recent helicopter flyby discovered avalanche debris above Nardi and Ballard’s last known location with a tent visible in the debirs. While many still have hope, others are sharing their memories of the two top alpine climbers. Follow along on Nardi’s Facebook page below.
