Colin Haley and Andy Wyatt Climb Fitz Roy in a Push

Colin Haley and Andy Wyatt have climbed Supercanaleta on Fitz Roy in just over 21 hours.

Haley reported on Instagram that he and Wyatt climbed the famous 1,600-metre route in 21 hours and eight minutes and that it’s likely the fastest car-to-car ascent to date. It’s possibly the first one-day ascent of Fitz Roy (also known as Cerro Chaltén). They had no pre-cached gear.

“It’s merely a game, but it sure is fun!” wrote Haley. “The one downside is Andy didn’t get to linger and soak up the view for his first time on Chaltén. My first time up Chaltén was in the 2005-2006 season with Mark Westman, and yesterday was my 10th ascent, making for a nice clean average of one ascent per year.”
